I’ve been playing through Patapon again and it’s just so awesome. The connection between you and your guys is tight compared to almost all other strategy games. Just because you are there affecting how well they fight with your direct actions.

Love it. Just as much as Locoroco.

jeremy: Untrue. Personally, I couldn’t STAND LocoRoco — the only reason I gave it a chance was because of Patapon. Oorgh, was that a waste of $20.

You missed out if you ignored it because “it is for hipsters and I am a h4rdc0r3 g4m3r!!!1 HALO 8 PLZ”. (If you ignored it because you can’t keep a beat worth a damn, then continue doing so as you would be terrible at it.)

Hopefully the sequel fixes a few of its flaws though. I hated the fact that you had to throw away Fever to do one of the miracles — totally unnecessary and flow-breaking.

Much like Loco Roco, I think Patapon is one of those games that the media loves (and “hipster” gamers), but no one really cares about…

Still haven’t finished the first one yet though, I wasn’t very good at that game.. Maybe the US retail version would be much cheaper at the $20 range?
