Sandy Beach is one part defend your sand castle

While we’re probably going to see Gradius ReBirth in the future Konami isn’t talking about it in North America yet. Instead we got screenshots of Sandy Beach which appears to be Konami America’s next WiiWare game. You build sand castles with the Wii remote representing various tools and in “crab mode” disgruntle crabs attempt to tear them down. Cannons are your main defense, but it looks like Frozen Codebase, the team that made Screwjumper on Xbox Live Arcade, took a cue from Defend Your Castle. The above image suggets you can pick up not so giant enemy crabs.

The battle between man and crabs will take place sometime this fall.
