We’ll see Vanillaware’s Wii Game In English Next Year

By Spencer . September 18, 2008 . 9:42pm

mb Xseed and Marvelous are joining forces to bring Oboro Muramasa Youtouden out in North America under the much more English friendly name Muramasa: The Demon Blade. We haven’t heard much about Muramasa: The Demon Blade since Tokyo Game Show last year and all we saw there was a gorgeous trailer. I can’t wait to see if it plays as good as it looks.

In addition to this Xseed plans to co-publish two other Marvelous games for the DS. Lux Pain and Flower, Sun, and Rain seem to be the most likely candidates since English versions are already in development. Rising Star Games, Marvelous’ European branch, will be publishing both of these titles in 2008.

Had to refresh myself by watching the trailer again. Looks really awesome. I just hope that it's programmed a bit better than Odin Sphere was. The load times and the intense slowdown made it a real pain to play.
  • It looks beautiful.
I love those slice and dice effects, too!

Fantastic. Xseed are known to keep original voice acting (as well as offering English option) so let's hope they follow suit. A ninja/samurai game with American voices makes no sense to me.

I think the two upcoming unannounced XSEED games are one each for DS and Wii?
  • We need more 2D platformers. How come all the games today are about pets or cooking or other trivial stuff.
