Obviously the PSN version won't come with the free paddle controller, but the game works perfectly with the other methods (pad, L/R buttons)I preffer the PS1 version to the Arcade/Taito Legends 2 release because of the added anime sequences and additional story mode. 600 Yen sounds like a total steal. Ah I remember this one. Sadly never found anybody to play this one against, but the CPU was fun to play against too.
