Endless Attack = Good
Protoman = Very Good
Microtransactions = Fail

Sure, I'll probably buy them. But why take advantage of your dedicated fanbase Capcom? *Sigh* I guess because you can.

Looks great, although I do agree that those moves should´ve been on Megaman from the beginning (aside the shield of course). In my opinion, it´s a shame that the timeline of the games wasn´t respected in that area. If there were some explanation inside the game to why Megaman doesn´t have those moves it would be fine by me, but as far as I know (haven´t played it yet) there´s no such a thing.

As for the extra challenges like the "Endless Attack test", I don´t personally care about them. I don´t think that the game actually needs those extra challenges... or online leaderboards for that matter.

Aside from that, I´m still looking forward to play the game and I already heard part of the soundtrack and loved it.

I just started to notice this is becoming more of a chat between two people than a thread. My name is Daizyujin on PSN as well if you want to add me. We seem to share a lot of the same tastes in gaming anyways.

I wouldn't say always buy it for the 360. I have seen games that did play slightly better on the 360. It seems to be a tossup. Games like "Baja: Edge of Control" and "The Orange Box" are completely superior on the 360. Also depending on how you feel about achievements can make a difference. In the case of Mega Man 9 I think the achievements would have put me off as they look anywhere from rediculous to impossible. The PS3 seems to be the system of choice for 2D and fighting for sure. Anything that requires quick reflexes tends to run better on the PS3, especially if it is in 2D. Of course since my 360 just died on me Saturday, I guess I am going to be going the PS3 route for a while.

@Daizyujin - Hey, I'm totally w/ you on your stance that they "took out" the moves on purpose for the money. It's like Sony telling us we shouldn't need rumble to be more old school, you don't regress..

Lol, I was wondering if you have given the game a chance by plunging down 10 bucks, since you sounded very against this rip-off :)

As for Bionic Commando, too late, I got the 360 version on day 1, which has pretty sucky control, pretty important for a game that needs pinpoint precision. I just jumped the gun since I alrdy had available microsoft points to spare.. If the future I have to remind myself if the same game comes out on both 360/PS3, I need to hold out for the latter. Rearmed is a great game indeed, still stuck in the last stage, my platforming skill is waning over the years, or I'm blaming on the bad analog stick..

Not sure if I was clear enough, I meant if I were to purchase it on my Jpn 360 console, the whole game would be Rockman 9 w/ Jpn in-game text, w/ no option to change to English, even if you change the system's language setting.

If like you said the Asian version in HK store has both Eng. and Jpn, then that is the best version all around, w/ both languages and best control.

I suppose they leave the Jpn text in since HK gamers were accustomed to playing games entirely in Japanese w/ no localization all these years, despite the language barrier.

I agree about the $10 price point. I was willing to go for it but when they showed off what the DLC was going to be I decided then and there to not buy it. It was so obvious it had been removed at the last minute to just be resold. My friend bought it on Wii so I tried it out on there. It is an ok game but I am not convinced that it is as great as the Mega Man fanboy base has made it out to be. I really don't buy the whole "love song to Mega Man 2 so lets take features out" line. The slide and powershot were awesome additions and to see them removed makes the game feel like a step back instead of a step forward. After all it is Mega Man 9, not Mega Man 1.5. It is hard to look at this and seriously consider plopping down $10 when I compare it to Bionic Commando Rearmed which I enjoyed much more. Which by the way, if you haven't bought it yet, get it on PS3, you will be much happier.

@Daizyujin - Yeah, that's what surprised me, I thought the Eng. version is for the U.S only. I don't have an Asian acct. set up for my PS3, it's also "Rockman 9" on my 360 too. Interesting thing is the game recognizes your 360's native region and displays only in that language, like the Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia Demo. I love it when the game contains both Jpn and Eng. depending on your system's set up.

Totally agreed w/ you on the control scheme on all 3 consoles. I couldn't even reach the "start" btn comfortably to change weapons w/ the Wii-mote, the classic controller would have to make-do since it's the only alternative (Gamecube controller would've been atrocious). As soon as I tried out the PS3 demo three days after buying it on Wiiware, I regret my purchase, Dual Shock 3 felt perfect in your hands and like second nature running and shooting w/ Megaman. I almost had the urge to buy it again for the PS3, but then I don't think this game is worth spending more than $10 for.

Graphics-wise, I thought the PS3/360 version look much better w/ the smooth edges compared to the extreme jaggies on the Wii. Very often I like to stretch it to wide screen because the two black bars bother me a lot, and it took me a while to figure out how to do it (by reversing the screen ratio to 4:3 from 16:9)

I noticed that on the PS3 demo on the HK store that it is called Rockman 9. Except for the title screen and image screens on the XMB, the text changes depending on what language you have your console set to. Since mine is set to English the entire game was in English except the title screen and XMB screens. It makes me think this may be a timed exclusive in Japan. Were this not the case, it makes me wonder why the HK version would not just be English alone. More people there speak English than Japanese anyways. I know the game was developed in Japan but I was under the impression that the PS3/360 versions were done in the US. As for version differences they seem minimal. The PS3 IMHO did control the best. On the other hand I tried with the wiiremote alone and ended up so f-ing frustrated with the small d-pad and buttons that I just switched to the classic controller. It certainly works better but it still didn't quite feel as accurate as the Dual Shock 3. The 360 controller as usual is a mess. If you can play with the stick then you might be ok, but the d-pad is worthless.
