Here’s Why You Won’t See Flower, Sun, And Rain Until 2009

By Spencer . October 10, 2008 . 8:42am

fsr Xseed and Marvelous are partnering to release Flower, Sun, and Rain in North America sometime in 2009. But, Rising Star games is releasing an English version in Europe this October. How come we aren’t getting an expeditious release if Flower, Sun, and Rain is technically done? I inquired about this and found out Xseed is polishing the translation for North America. Xseed has a reputation for quality localization work so it’s probably worth waiting a few months for their version of Flower, Sun, and Rain to come out.

I'm cool with it; good on them. Too bad this won't result in more sales, but it should keep their existing fans happy.

There is no excuse for this. If we were getting some sort of preorder bonus or something it might be cool. My guess is that they don't want it to interfere with they're other games. Also were is Korg DS-10 we don't even have a date on this. Screw this company.

Probably a good thing, I've heard bad stuff about Rising Star's internal localizations.

  • Just for clarification, according to the Rising Star Games website, FSR won't be out till November 7th - http://www.risingstargames.com/game.asp?gameID=53

    Flower, Sun, and Chocolate Rain.

I'll wait for a North American release if that means I'll get a better translation. Resisting to import will be tough though.

If it's the same text, then import it is!
