LittleBigPlanet Only Delayed For A Week In North America

By Spencer . October 17, 2008 . 11:45am

Sony and Media Molecule are reacting fast to correct the content issue in LittleBigPlanet’s soundtrack. A patch has already been created by Media Molecule and revised Blu-ray discs will be ready to ship out on October 27 in North America. It’s only a one week delay, nothing to be too alarmed over. Release dates have not been announced for other regions, but Sony isn’t slacking on this situation.

While you’re waiting for LittleBigPlanet check out what Sony Computer Entertainment Korea is doing to promote the game. They asked artists to submit Sackboys templates for a chance to win a PlayStation 3 or an iRiver Volcano. Here’s a look at some of the submissions.

I could have sworn this Old Snake Sackboy was shown at Tokyo Game Show. Is someone trying to cheat?

Aww it’s an MS Paint Sackboy Joker.

Oogie Boogie Sackboy I presume? It looks pretty cool!

The news of Sony ordering the recall despite Media Molecule’s day zero patch being ready to dispense has upset me so deeply that I have abandoned my intentions of entering into console development. Further more I no longer plan to invest in home game console related products. For the record I don’t observe the Qur’an but I’m tired of the recent trends in video game politics (fanboy flame wars, I’m looking at you!) Here’s to hoping that we can get over silly differences in the future.

  • I still think its a publicity stunt, the game is getting great reviews across the board and Sony wants to milk the game for every penny. Its not like they have anything else in the pipelines. Except G.O.W 3 of course.

    Shameless Promotion
