Namco Bandai Gives Our Wallets A Break With Free Ace Combat 6 DLC

Namco Bandai isn’t shy about selling downloadable content. Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation has plenty of planes and missions to purchase. Beginning on November 6, the day Ace Combat 6 joins the budget Platinum Collection in Japan, some of Ace Combat 6’s content ranging from 100 – 300 Microsoft Points will be given out for free.

Aspiring pilots will be able to get these packs for no charge:

Special Color Planes

F-14D – Halloween –
A-10A – Xmas –
F-14D – Zipang –

Online Stages
Team Battle DL1
Battle Royale DL1
Co-Op Battle DL1
Co-Op Battle DL2
Siege Battle DL1

The total value of all of the free DLC is 1700 Microsoft Points ($21.25), which is slightly more than half the retail price of the Platinum Collection re-release. As of now this promotion is only announced for Japan, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Namco Bandai offered the free DLC to other regions too.

I hope this trend continues with other aged Namco Bandai games like Beautiful Katamari which will be about one year old too.
