Overturn Lets You Control Mecha With The Balance Board

Studio Zan’s WiiWare game, Overturn, looks like of like Virutal On. You pilot a robot and battle other robots in an arena. Extra equipment can be earned in the story mode. Overturn’s mecha design is bland, but I’ll forgive that since Studio Zan lets players use the balance board to move your robot. How? Dunno, but it’s a novel concept.

Once you master the controls you can bring the challenge a friend with split screen versus battles or enter fights with up to four people online via Nintendo Wi-Fi. Overturn is on track to come out in Japan sometime in November. A North American release is not confirmed at this time, but Overturn has relationships with international publishers like Hudson. Studio Zan was the developer of the PSP version of Dungeon Explorer.

Makes me wish we’d see AM3 give VO4 another shot via Wii.

The skirt design reminds me of one of the leg types from Armored Core.
