Flash Cards Don’t Work With The DSi, This Guy Tested Over 20 Of Them

Flash Cards Dont Work With The DSi, This Guy Tested Over 20 Of ThemThis should be obvious news since Nintendo built the DSi with a new firmware, but it doesn’t work with existing flash cards. Sorry, legitimate homebrew community. How do we know this for sure? One Nico Nico user tested twenty eight different flash cards. I can’t believe this many flash cards exist in the hands of a single person.

Here’s a link to the video , but you need to be a registered Nico Nico user to watch it. If you’re not check out these screen captures.

no surprise there. i had the feeling that was gonna happen. i think one of the reasons why nintendo made the dsi was so they could stop this exact problem.however, its gonna backfire hard on them once someone finds out how to hack homebrew applications to the sd card or game slot.i wouldn’t be surprised if someone has the answer already but only time will tell.

in my opinion, i think once the DSI hits stateside, you’re gonna start seeing less ds lites and more DSI’s in store shelves.

Oh yes, “Homebrew”. Just like Alcohol was strictly consumed for medicinal purposes during prohibition.

I’m not in the least bit surprised. I would be surprised, though, if the SD card slot DOESN’T get hacked.

Supposedly someone in Japan has already “Hello World” the DSi, so it shouldn’t be long until we see new flash cards or methods to run “homebrew”, that is if it’s true.

Too bad Yasu already hacked a homebrew to work on it. Plan failure for Nintendo.
