Well the game collection doesn’t sound bad though, but it would be better if they improved more than this. Or its just a cheap port nevertheless.

Lame I already have a huge collection of roms I can play on the wii homebrew channel, come on sega do a proper HD version of just ONE of the sonic games!

Sega just can’t stop pushing their old games. While it is a nice package and seeing the games in HD is a bonus, pretty much anyone who is a genesis fan already has got the sonic collections or the Genesis collection on PS2 or various games on the VC.
Yeah I’d really like to see Shining force in HD but I don’t want to buy it for the fourth time.
Now, if there were new content in some of the games, then it would be worth it.

Also I agree with the above posts, Sega should just release a definitive pre-3d Sonic collection including everything (Knuckles Chaotix especially) and just be done with it.

Some of the game choices are weird imo… all the Shining games but no LandStalker? Dynamite Headdy but no Gunstar Heroes? No Monster World at all?

Honestly I have most of what I’d want from here already on the Virtual Console, and the only game I don’t (PStar 4) I will shortly. I guess I’ve payed more than I would’ve, but I also chose only the games I really wanted, I get impeccable emulation (and the original resolution output) and I got games not on here (including imports!). It’s a nice collection for people without a PS2 (Sega Ages) or Wii (Virtual Console) but not quite “Ultimate” imo.

I don’t see Sonic CD being a possibility since it’s not a Genesis game… unless it’s included as bonus content. But do I really want to get another Genesis collection that has the same games that were already on the existing collections?
