New Ending Created For Chrono Trigger DS

By Spencer . November 10, 2008 . 1:42am

ctds Alternate closures in Chrono Trigger ranged vastly from a cat filled parade in Crono’s honor to everyone turning into reptites. In addition to new dungeons and a monster arena, there is a brand new ending to find in the DS version of Chrono Trigger. Details about the ending have obviously not been announced aside from a two screenshots like this one of Marle, Frog, and Crono staring at a time gate.

Chrono Trigger also has a number of database features, some that fans will get a kick out of. You can watch a collection of animated movies, presumably those from the PSX port, in the movie theater, listen to tunes in the music library, look up monster data, and discover missing treasure chests with the treasure chest map mode.

Awesome, thats a reason for a first day buy. :D

I hope it’s some kind of link, or more apparent link, with Chrono Cross.

  • Yeah, definately looking better and better. Of course, I still woulda bought this even if it was just a straight port with no new features. CT is one of the few games that I honestly never get sick of playing even though I probably have the entire game memorized.

I hope like hell it’s a setup or link to an actual sequel than to the mess known only as Chrono Cross.

With our luck it’ll wind up being fucking Sephiroth….

I love CT, and the extra ending is very welcome ^^
I also hope it’s a link to a sequel, but I don’t want to be too optimistic. I have a feeling it’s a link to Chrono Cross =/

Chrono Cross was awesome! I mean.. it was no CT.. but it was fun..

  • Looks to me like Square is going to leave the possibility open for a true CT sequel (read: not Chrono Cross) if enough copies of this game are sold.

    Buy this game everybody!!

Oh, be quiet. Cross was actually pretty fun.
