@jarrod – I have only played the first several chapters of Sigma Harmonics and gave up on it. The murder mystery premise sounds promising, but not when the “same people” dying over and over in different ways, it’s almost like a joke, like Kenny from South Park getting killed ad infinitum, instead of trying to rescue the ones who are dear to you by changing history w/ some dire consequences attached. Also the play mechanics is hardly polished from map navigation to the actual card battles. I know I’ve been critical of it, but I found the story to be to uninteresting to invest more time in it. I felt cheated by the commercial.

Great news. I played through the SNES version years ago and liked it a lot. Not my favorite in the series but still a fun game.

Nice! I wonder if that means DQVI next summer then? Does it have a JP date yet?

As far as Sigma Harmonics, most impressions I’ve heard haven’t been too positive… I’d rather have Nanashi no Game localized to be honest. And it’s probably too much to hope for Front Mission 2089 either, after the first game tanked here. :/

I think Sigma Harmonics is still pretty likely since it was trademarked twice. Square Enix seemed to have high hopes for it early in development, but since it isn’t an established franchise they may be taking more care of how they’re localizing it and when they plan on releasing it.

We might be getting Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume so quickly since Square Enix hopes to capitalize on Tri-Ace fever with Star Ocean 4 coming out in the same month.

Yeah, I have to mention too, that I really wish Sigma Harmonics would come over here. I’m not even sure of the chances, since VP was released a bit later after SH.

@Mazen – I hope we get DQ IX in September, but Square Enix might hold it to release DQ VI first. It’s going to be hard for the causal Dragon Quest fans to go from DQ IX backwards to DQ VI. Also, DQ VI is technically “new” for us like Chrono Trigger is “new” for Europe.

Great news about Dragon Quest I expected a summer release and Sigma Harmonics in march same time as The world Ends with You last year but it seems Sigma Harmonics still up in the air shame as I love anything with murder mysteries,
in the other hand this opens the door to get DQix as early as Septemper? Do it Square enix.
