Valkyria Chronicles Getting An Anime

valkyria We’re going to be seeing a lot more of Valkyria Chronicles. Well, Japan is going to be seeing a lot more of Valkyria Chronicles. Sega is partnering with A-1 Pictures to create a televised Valkyria Chronicles animated series set to come out next spring. I hope A-1 keeps the watercolor look that made Valkyria Chronicles stand out.

A-1 Pictures previous’ work includes Persona: Trinity Soul and Kuroshitsuji which is currently broadcasting on TBS. No, not the TBS that endlessly plays reruns of Family Guy, I mean Tokyo Broadcasting System in Japan. No word if anyone is going to license this internationally, but anime has seen a downward spiral in North America with Cartoon Network pulling many shows off the air.

Woo! Already partway through the game, and I’d watch this if given the chance.

  • It is an excellent game, I always feel anime hurts a series (viewtiful joe added the worst characters I’ve ever seen who were then included in the next game).
I’m sure there are cases where this isn’t the case though :)

Woh am playing the game and its a blast a high quality addictive strategy rpg its amazingly well made am talking Dragon Quest 8 and Zeldas quality here, really talented team.

I hold off buying this game at first due to several other games I’m playing, but after seeing my friend play the first couple of battles, I ordered a copy too, can’t wait. Too bad they took out the beautiful Jpn opening song, like they do the Tales games.

I’m confident Valkyria would make a good anime, unlike World of Destruction, which was a truly horrible low quality show.

Great news. I’m playing through this game and it ****ing kicks butt.

I hope the anime will too
