Flicking Boingz, Flicking Boogers

image Nintendo put a meager selection of games online this week and Boingz might be the most interesting out of the three. RealNetwork’s first WiiWare game has players stretch and flick balloon-like aliens to an end of level exit. Boingz sounds like a platformer, but it’s more like point and click game. Players grab the antenna of a Boingz and pull it back to flick it towards the goal. Boingz costs 1,000 Wii Points ($10).

Digital Leisure’s first WiiWare game online today and it’s a sudoku compilation. Sudoku Challenge puts 100 million sudoku puzzles into a single WiiWare download for 500 Wii Points ($5). Sudoku pros might want to give this a look for value, but Digital Leisure should give the licensed properties another look. A 500 Wii Point port of Mad Dog McCree with remote control shooting would be more exciting than another sudoku game.

The Genesis version of Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure is the only Virtual Console release this week. In this pun filled platformer players attack with boogers, burps, and farts. I remember Boogerman being entertaining for its off-beat humor similar to Earthworm Jim. Although, Earthworm Jim is probably a better all around game. If you’re in the mood for toilet humor Boogerman is 800 Wii Points ($8).

Quick corrections but Boingz was actually developed by Ninjabee (of Cloning Clyde, Outpost Kaloki, A Kingdom for Keflings and Band of Bugs fame) and Sudoku Challenge is Digital Leisure's 2nd WiiWare game (The Incredible Maze was their first).

Disappointed with the recent Virtual Console dropoff though... where are Ogre Battle, Metal Slug 2, Phantasy Star IV, Castlevania III, Mercs, etc?
