Capcom Crams Figures And Anime Inside Street Fighter IV Collector’s Edition

When publishers say “Collector’s Edition” they usually mean a metal case, some kind of special downloadable content, and a soundtrack CD. Capcom is raising our expectations of what a Collector’s Edition can be today with their Street Fighter IV Collector’s Edition. This package contains two figures one of fan favorite Ryu and one of newcomer Crimson Viper set in Chun Li’s stage, a comic book mini strategy guide focusing on the four new characters, a bonus disc with the Street Fighter IV anime film, and exclusive downloadable content. Somewhere in there is a copy of Street Fighter IV too for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

That’s a lot of Street Fighter stuff. Some awesome Street Fighter IV stuff, but as of this second this Street Fighter IV Collector’s Edition has only been announced for Europe. Chances are we will see something similar in North America since Capcom plans to release a Collector’s Edition of Street Fighter IV here too. I wonder what the chances are of getting some of the awesome goodies inside the Biohazard 5 Collector’s Edition in North America’s Resident Evil 5 Collector’s Edition…

I really wonder if this game is going to be on fire. What does everyone think?

  • Ryu Kazama

Yes. But I’m only saying that ’cause I played it. Now to wait just a little bit more to get some Bruce-I mean, Fei Long action.

  • ShinRekka

Getting both the Collector’s Edition and regular one when they come out. Here’s hoping the dl content is pretty nice as well.

  • I’m going to have to check out the online features of both system to see which has a stronger pull just for this game.

I hope the anime would be included in the US version as well.

  • Stayfun

YES, EUROPE ! I thought this was going to be a US only thing for sure.

    @ Badfish

one word: YES. It is an awesome game, and once you play it in full HD goodness, you’ll be sure about the graphics being top notch as well. I haven’t got HD remix yet (PS3 is back home in Oz) but I have heard the online play is pretty amazing. I hope the same standard can be kept for SFIV, if so then its going to really be on fire…NBA Jam style on fire.
