Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Now On The Virtual Console… Again

By Spencer . December 8, 2008 . 6:32am

image Nintendo will only offer one Virtual Console game this week and it’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2, 8-bit Sonic the Hedgehog 2 built for the Master System. Since the superior Genesis version came out over a year ago you might be wondering why you should give Sonic the Hedgehog 2 a second look. Morbid curiosity, maybe? At least you won’t paying 500 Wii Points ($5) Sonic 2 again. The Master System release is mostly a different Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with its hang gliding stage Sega proudly put on the cover.

WiiWare gets two unknown games too. Bruiser and Scratch, a grid based puzzle game made by ex-Naughty Dog staff, and Hockey Allstar Shootout, which is simply motion controlled hockey.

    Yeah I have the Game Gear version. I only beat that first boss once. ;_;

    The SMS version was supposed to be more fun because of the better resolution and less harsh Underground boss.

    Ugh, terrible week. Again.

    Where are Castlevania III, Phantasy Star IV and Ogre Battle already?
