DJ Max Fever Due In January, Expansion Packs In The Future?

DJ Max Fever Due In January, Expansion Packs In The Future? The delay for DJ Max Fever was a short one. PM Studios let Siliconera know the first US version of DJ Max is on track to come out in stores next month. In a short amount of time PM Studios and Pentavision completely changed the engine. Instead of getting DJ Max Portable 2+ you get enhancements from DJ Max Portable: Black Square which is scheduled to come out in Korea later this month.

It also sounds like PM Studios is planning a future the DJ Max before the first game even launches. In an interview with the Escapist, Executive Producer Michael Yum discusses reaching a mainstream audience through downloadable content and expansion packs with different labels.

That’s a pretty bold move, swapping the engine out this late in the game! I hope it works to their advantage.

I had completely forgotten about this in the release schedule madness but the new date means I can actually give this the attention it deserves.

So I take it Fever will have 2 – 6B, 4BFX, and BS’ new 6BFX (re: 8B mode)? Should be fun. I do wish that Fever would include some of the Clazziquai and Black Square tracks though. Maybe they’ll be available as DLC? :D!

Yeah, I’m glad that they’ve pushed back the release date. It’ll give me time to pay off all the Christmas purchases I’ve dumped onto my credit card and recoup a wee bit of my finances at the same time. :3
