The Last Remnant Gets New Features For PC

By Spencer . December 15, 2008 . 7:52pm

We still don’t know when The Last Remnant will be ready for the PS3, but if you have a Windows ready PC you can get The Last Remnant this Spring. Square Enix notes the PC version “will include features previously not available on the original Xbox 360 release.” However, they don’t outline what these features are.

New missions? Better resolution graphics? Or just pre-packaged Xbox 360 DLC? It’s anyone’s guess, but Torpal, the cat creature, is already in the Last Remnant. Interestingly, the PC version is only coming out in North America and Europe this spring, a date or possible release in Japan has not been announced at this time.

In-battle frame rate is the biggest problem now, maybe that would be fixed in the PC ver. Load time is not a problem anyway for those who have enough space to do an install on their 360.

I hope it wouldn’t be exclusive and would be made available as DLC later on, preferably free. PS3 version is probably going to get all the extra contents if it’s like Lost Planet.

I still have no idea how to place my units to upgrade to the higher level formations. I’ve alrdy obtained the necessary items by completing the side quests, but I don’t know how to use them at all.

  • @Aoshi00 You’re right, loading won’t be a problem with a HD in the computer, but I too hope the frame rate gets fixed. I wonder what the specs for the PC version will be. Looking at the visuals, I doubt my 4 year old PC will be able to handle it.

@Louise — Same here, I never considered PC ports since my desktop is a dino too, life sustained by external HDs lol . I finally purchased a Vaio though (my very first notebook) which should be powerful enough, but I don’t think I would be using it for gaming.

Hey are the framerates really bad in this game im about to pick it up today and “try” not to play it till xmas since it will be pretty much my only gift ^_^

but like i said i heard that in large battles it slows down wich i really don’t care about as long as theres plenty of weapons to make and grinding to do :)
