Snazzy Avatars Coming To PS3s This January

Snazzy Avatars Coming To PS3s This January PlayStation 3 owners won’t need to be jealous of all the winter accessories Microsoft avatars have when Dress arrives on the PlayStation Store. The self described “fashion entertainment” program is coming out in Japan sometime in January and it’s packing plenty of Beams t-shirts.

Personally, I don’t care about virtual vanity, but the mysterious Beams world is interesting. Is Dress going to be partially a game or is it just going to be an avatar fashion show?

Well that sure is an extreme reaction. I for one welcome this ‘game’ and it’s not because I own a lot of Beams clothing.

So it’s going to be like making a Homie except even more pointless?

I actually tried Home on both the US and Jpn servers w/ the Beta, I don’t think I would bother w/ this.. The realistc Sims-like avatars are just too realistic, not as cute as the Miis or the 360 avatars. And people thought buying DLC for games were a waste, now buying a sofa in your virtual living room, think I’d pass.

In all fairness, this is free, so it might be fun if there’s time to kill.
