Monster Hunter G Ported To Wii

By Spencer . December 22, 2008 . 12:31pm

monsterhunterg Really, that’s about all there is to report since the Famitsu scan with the details is too tiny to read. Right now this news is for Japan only, but if Monster Hunter G comes over here it will be sort of new for us since we never got Monster G on a proper console. No word if Capcom is going to charge a subscription fee for online play or if this is going to affect the release date of Monster Hunter 3 which is coming out in Japan next year either. The Monster Hunter G port should prelude Monster Hunter 3 though.

that’s so like Capcom… and this is not a compliment.

oh well, at least they’re bringing MH3 (the real deal)

How about some more ports Capcom? *cough*

    Ok, serious for a moment:
No word on motion controlls yet, accoring to other news blogs and forums the game requires a Classic Controller (please correct me if I’m wrong). If that’s indeed true, aren’t they shooting themselves in the foot? People that don’t have one can’t play the game, and Capcom gives away their chance to mass-test Motion Controlls for the Monster Hunter series.

I don’t think people would want to use waggle; it’s never worked as well as you would want it to in games like this and it’s a strain on the arms/wrists — and the classic controller is only around $20, hardly anything to cause a ruckus about.

Besides, it’s just a budget port and it’s unlikely to see a release outside of Japan. Great if it does though, MH would be all the better with online play.
