The Sega Genesis Collection is obviously lacking the first game and, more importantly, the extra options allowing you to adjust walking speed and difficulty for the later three entries. You'd also miss the Japanese versions, the text adventures and lots of artwork from American and Japanese releases. The option to play the first game with FM sound (sadly limited to the Japanese version, just like back in the days) is worth a try, too.Honestly, it's a mystery to me why anyone with a PS2 would buy the VC-Version.
