Pikmin 2 Also Part Of Nintendo of America’s New Play Control Series

pik2 Mario Power Tennis and Pikmin, the first two games in Nintendo’s New Play Control series, will come out here in March. Somewhere along the approval line Nintendo of America passed on Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat which was the inaugural New Play Control game in Japan.

But, we won’t be missing out on Pikmin 2! After scanning the ESRB database I noticed Pikmin 2 was rated as a Gamecube and Wii game singling it out as a future entry in Nintendo of America’s 2009 lineup. Nintendo of Japan hasn’t even given New Play Control Pikmin 2 a date yet so while Pikmin 2 is in the pipeline we don’t know when it will sprout.

  • Why no DK love? That's kind of odd.

I hope another round of these titles comes out, just so long as they're giving these titles budget prices.

I'm guessing DKJB was probably skipped initially to give Wario Land more room at retail. I still think we'll get it eventually.

Typical of Nintendo. Re-releasing old games to get more money. How many times did they re-release Super Mario Bros. again? Too many times.
