Pop Up Card Duels Now Popping Up On PCs

One of the best parts, arguably the best part about Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales, was online Pop Up Duels. After collecting and amassing a deck of cutesy esper cards from mini-games you could go online and challenge random players.

Pop Up battles have been a staple in Square Enix’s growing series of Chocobo titles and this spring the mini-game is going to be a stand alone game. Pop Up Duels Online is being made as a community based PC game. A beta test is currently running for Square Enix Members registered in Japan. Crafty Siliconera readers can try making a Japanese account to join the beta which runs until the end of January. No word if Square Enix USA is going to bring this here, but I imagine they will once our member’s hub catches up with Japan’s.
