Motion Controlled Puzzles Part Of Another Code: R

By Spencer . January 6, 2009 . 10:48am

image One thing I appreciated about Zack & Wiki is how Capcom utilized motion control. Simple puzzles felt more immersive since you were doing actions with the remote instead of pressing buttons.

Another Code: R has a similar setup. In this clip Ashley pours some pH measuring fluid by tilting the remote. After the chemical is added you shake the remote to make Ashley shake the test tube.

Did you notice anything else interesting about the water analysis kit? The label graphic was in English. Of course, this little detail doesn’t guarantee Another Code R is coming out here, but I believe Nintendo of America will pick this up for an international release. If you really can’t wait for Another Code R and its new set of mysteries the Japanese version will be out on February 5, two weeks after it was originally scheduled.

Once again with Trace Memory’s overly dramatic transitions to simple actions. Looks great, though. XD

    * Dramatic musical flourish as the screen zooms in on the keyboard, in order to press TAB then Spacebar. *

I love Trace Memory. I really hope Nintendo brings it to America. CING is one of my favorite companies.

  • Definitely plan to pick this one up. I loved Trace Memory.

I picked up Trace Memory late from the bargain bin but have only played a little of it. This has a Hotel Dusk vibe and I’m very interested. Need to go back to Zack & Wiki one of these days…

I can’t decided what I like more: this new low contrast, soft touch look or the solid black shadows from the DS version. Both look great (not to mention Ashley <3 )
I wonder what Cing will have us do with the Wii remote, considering how well they used the all the DS’ features in Another Code/Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk.
