.hack Brings The World To PSP

By Spencer . January 13, 2009 . 10:06pm

image After two sagas of PlayStation 2 games Namco Bandai is taking the .hack series to the PSP with .hack//Link. By the title and character art alone this looks like it’s based on the manga of the same name. One thing for sure is the characters are the same. However, the Famitsu photo is too blurry to make out any critical details about the gameplay or the developer. Hey, maybe .hack//Link is CyberConnect2′s mysterious project. We’ll find out for sure on Friday.

Blah. I was hoping they’d go with something fresh.

BTW off-topic Spencer but Ultimate Shooting Collection is coming out Jan 19th — FOR REAL.

It’s about time .hack//Link was made into a game! The manga is pretty much gag and takes an interesting spin on the “hero save universe” concept. Looking forward to this. :)

Good catch Spencer. Played and (almost) beat all 7 games. Finally a reason for me to own a PSP. xD

its Haseo (on the right page of scan) and based from its manga with same title .hack//Link

    another hack, this seems interesting.
I never got around to finishing the first series, but I still want to try this.

Meh, another mediocre .hack game? And what’s up with the main character? He looks like a Digimon character.

  • Kuronoa

Yes! A portable .Hack game. I cannot wait. In the meantime I guess I’ll finally try out that manga.

    woooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
    i cannot wait!!!!!

IIRC, most of the main characters in .hack (if not all), would be making a cameo appearance here, or so does the manga show. The manga is a bit disappointing so far, I kind of wish the story is a bit more deep.
