Monster Rancher And G-Policer Join PlayStation Archives

image Monster Farm Jump or Monster Rancher Hop-A-Bout, as it is known here, is not the highlight of the Monster Rancher series. Instead of creating charming monsters from CDs and raising them Monster Rancher Hop-A-Bout only hopping monster in a board game setting. Yeah? Well, I’m content with not getting that as a PlayStation Classic here.

Strangely enough Sony Computer Entertainment Japan is beginning to release Western developed games as downloadable PsOne games too. G-Police, a futuristic shooter, was developed by Psygnosis before they became Sony Computer Entertainment Liverpool. Pop ‘N Pop is also out this week which is sort of like Bust ‘A Move meets Space Invaders with Taito cameos. As a little diversion Pop ‘N Pop is pretty fun.

Here’s what’s out this week. Each game costs 600 yen ($7.50):

G-Police
Pop ‘N Pop
Monster Rancher Hop-A-Bout
Tantei Jinguji Saburo: The Unfinished Report

G-Police looked cool back in the day but I’m willing to bet it hasn’t aged well at all.
