Sega Has A Hand In Guilty Gear?

Sega Has A Hand In Guilty Gear? A rumor that sprung up some time ago was that Sega, now Sega Sammy, owns the Guilty Gear series. While Arc System Works has developed the Guilty Gear games the titles have been in the hands of numerous publishers in the East and West ranging from Majesco to Sammy itself when it was an individual entity.

Gamasutra brought the question to Daisuke Ishiwatari, the creator of the Guilty Gear series, who said the rumors are “basically true” in an in-depth interview about Arc System Works. No further details were given on if this will affect the Guilty Gear series. Mostly true or not Arc System Works has a new fighting game that is definitely their own it’s called BlazBlue.

If it’s true a couple of interesting things could happen to the series, but we still got a lot of potential for BB, too.
