Here Are A Bunch Of Fragile Battle Clips

By Spencer . January 14, 2009 . 12:45pm

The desolate world in Fragile: Farewell to the Moon isn’t always a peaceful one. Lone protagonist Seto faces foes like crows which he attacks with a bow. Ghosts fights are close up and Seto fends them off with a trusty hammer. No machine guns or magical swords for Seto, he just has everyday items used as weapons.

Seems like I’ll enjoy the combat. Overall the game is shaping up well.

Has the game been hinted outside Japan yet, Spencer?

I know there was a brief write up on Fragile in January’s Game Informer. It did not a US release but GI rarely if ever gives article space to something they know will remain import exclusive.

  • lostinblue

the team said they contemplated the US and European audiences in making the game. Of course, just because they did their part doesn’t mean Namco Bandai WILL do their part.

I wouldn’t count Fragile out. Just because Namco Bandai hasn’t said anything about Fragile doesn’t mean they’re not going to release it here. Look what happened to Klonoa. Even though it was on the table for release Namco Bandai didn’t say anything at TGS where it was playable and waited until after the game came out in Japan to announce it. Something similar could happen with Fragile. We’re always looking for signs, but haven’t seen any for Fragile yet.

@ Spencer – off course, I’m not writing it down just yet but namco has a serious commitment issue, even with their established properties, I mean not so long ago they skipped Tales of Innocence and now they’re seemingly passing Tales of Hearts, similarly they haven’t said anything yet regarding sky crawlers… and then like you said they picked klonoa… their pattern has no discernable logic.

then and to make things worse; I’m in europe (thankfully I can import as long as there’s a US release) but here it’s even worse, even this week we had news that “there are no plans to bring Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World” to europe

I sure hope these games come out at least in US

Sky Crawlers has a licensing issue. Also since it was a movie/novel tie-in game it probably wouldn’t do well here.

Namco Bandai has their reasons about not releasing the previous DS Tales games anywhere else. Hopefully, Tales of Hearts will be different.

That looks gorgeous. They’d better be bringing this one over, even if it’s for fall 2009. Easily among the best-looking games I’ve seen lately. So moody and atmospheric. <3
