Muramasa: The Demon Blade Slicing Into Stores Soon

By Spencer . January 16, 2009 . 9:19am

murama Possibly sooner than expected. Marvelous covertly announced Japan will dice up Oni in Muramasa: The Demon Blade this April. Not bad timing for a game that went silent months after it was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2007.

No news about a firm date for the rest of the world, but we are getting Muramasa: The Demon Blade. Perhaps in the wishy-washy summer placeholder held by a number of retailers isn’t too far off. I hope so since Muramasa: The Demon Blade was a blast to play at Tokyo Game Show 2008.

I loved the original trace memory, I'm really happy to see ashley back :3

Hotel Dusk Wii would rock though.

Definitely, PSX sprites from SotN was jaw-dropping, so is this and Odin Sphere, I keep imagining all the good looking anime games they can make w/ this kind of graphics.

This one looks good though, I hope it would be fun to play. The other game I'm looking forward to is of course Trace Memory, looks like Hotel Dusk on the Wii.

^ that's my point, I'd love to see a home console Castlevania, in 2D and moving like this...

Miles and bounds better over 3D for that franchise!

@lostinblue - why not, huge fan, Order of Ecclesia hard as heck though.

    Aoshi00 like castlevania? :P
  • looks more amazing every time I see it.

I hope this plays more like a straight up side-scroller than Odin Sphere. They should make more anime games w/ amazing 2-D graphics like this.

@ Eddie - it only uses classic controller control schemes so far, motion is not implemented and if it'll be there it'll be optional since it supports both basic and gamecube controllers.

I wonder if the controls on this game will be good...
