PS3 PixelJunk Games Getting Retail Release?

By Spencer . January 22, 2009 . 6:46am

imageAccording to a retail listing on Play-Asia yes! No details were announced for the PixelJunk 3in1 Pack, but it’s easy to imagine this release, if real, is PixelJunk Racers, Monsters, and Eden on a Blu-ray disc.

Sony used a similar strategy with their downloadble PSP games in Europe by releasing PlayStation Network Power Packs. We didn’t get those so we might not get the PixelJunk 3in1 Pack in North America either. That’s not really a problem since the games are available on the PlayStation Store and if you must have a Q Games collection on physical media the PlayStation 3 is region free.

  • As a supporter of physical media (because I like to count my games.. :3) this would be cool if it came to europe. Damn PS3 looking tastier by the day..

I may buy this. I’m still paranoid that something might happen in the future, making digital purchases unavailable/expired/obsolete or something crazy, making it a waste of money in the long-run. If something is available in a physical form like a disk I feel safer and can even sell it down the line if I feel like it (kinda hard to do with digital property!)

If it’s too much more expensive to import it to the US though, assuming it won’t be released here, I’ll just download the games.
