Square Enix Expediting Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes Of Time

North America will see Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes Of Time in stores on March 24. The game launches in Japan this Thursday which means the localization gap between regions is a mere two months. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes Of Time just might set the benchmark for the fastest Nintendo DS and Wii localization by Square Enix USA.

Both versions will be priced at $39.99 so the Wii version is a tad cheaper than the average Wii game while the DS version is a tad more expensive. The announcement came with a bit of news about Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time too. Beyond the main adventure there is a New Game+ feature with a harder difficulty and better gear to find.

Also...40 bucks for the Wii version? They've got to be kidding. Even the Play on Wii games are cheaper than that.

You do know that the Wii version is basically upscaled DS graphics right?

I actually haven't been able to confirm this yet because it's so hard to make out from the trailers, but I think the game runs on Wii in a sort of "windowed" mode with borders all around.

Edit: I just checked again and that's exactly what it is. Not worth 40 bucks on Wii if you ask me. DS? Day one.
