Konami Mashes Manga Characters Together For PSP Fighter

image Sunday x Magazine: Taisen Action is sort of like Jump Superstars for the PSP except it’s not linked to Shonen Jump. Konami culled characters from two different manga magazines, Weekly Shonen Sunday published by Shogakukan and Weekly Shonen Magazine published by Kodansha for the cast.

Basically, this set up opens the door for otherwise impossible fights like Inuyasha vs. Shinichi Mechazawa (the robot from Cromartie High School) and Kyo fighting the Absolutely Lovely Children.

Who is in the game? Here’s a list of announced characters so far.

Shonen Sunday

Inuyasha from Inuyasha
Hayate Ayasaki from Hayate the Combat Butler
Ueki Kosuke from The Law of Ueki
Takizawa Noboru from Blazing Transfer Student
Ryo Takatsuki from Project Arms
R from Kyukyoku Choujin R
Kenichi Shirahama from Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple
Yoshimori Sumimura from Kekkaishi
Kaoru Akashi from Absolutely Lovely Children
Aoi Nogami from Absolutely Lovely Children
Shiho Sannomiya from Absolutely Lovely Children

Weekly Shonen

Ippo Makunouchi from Hajime no Ippo
Kyo from Samurai Deeper Kyo
Ban Mido from GetBackers
Kotaro Shindo from Kotaro Makaritoru
Negi Springfield from Negima!: Magister Negi Magi
Natsu Dragonil from Fairy Tail
Ikki Minami from Air Gear
Shinichi Mechazawa from Cromartie High School

Phew, that’s a lot of characters, some of which I had to learn about to write this! Judging by the screenshots it looks like the game has a partner system too since another face and a number to the right of Negi’s life bar.
