Nintendo Localizing Another Code R, Endless Ocean 2

By Spencer . January 29, 2009 . 11:47pm

anothercoder Chances of seeing Another Code R here just went up! Nintendo confirms at least Europe will get Ashley’s new adventure in English this year. In addition to that Europe will also see Endless Ocean 2 in stores.

I would like to say that if Europe gets a game we’re going to, but after Disaster: Day of Crisis and Freshly-Picked Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland there are no guarantees. However, those titles have swearing and sexual content, respectively, that Nintendo of America might find “damaging” to their family friendly image. This puts Another Code R in another category, one that makes it a more likely for a release here.

If Nintendo of America passes on Another Code R their first party Wii line up is going to look rather empty. Punch Out and Wii Sports Resort won’t come out until the “1st Half” of this year and Sin and Punishment 2 is in the distant future.

Meanwhile, here is what Nintendo has planned for Japan…

God bless SEGA for filling in the gaps for the first half of the year.

Although, I certainly hope that isn’t Nintendo’s 2009 release list in its entirety. I’m starting to think that Metroid Prime 1 and 2 releasing in Fall (or close to it) is starting to look more likely. They might even do a trilogy bundle, which would be great for everyone who didn’t pick up Prime 3 because they hadn’t played the first two.

Aside from that, there’s got to be more stuff that isn’t mentioned on that list. Good to see Punch-Out will be out before the halfway mark though.

Thank goodness another code is getting a release here, I would be suprised if it isn’t given a US.

But yeah they need more stuff or at least need to promote some decent third party stuff like MS and Sony.

Well, you could always import from Europe.

Heh, feels like an episode of Twilight Zone, but sometimes it rocks being Yuropeon. ;)

hmmmm…. first thought is… NO SOMA BRINGER yet!

Shit, that’s right. I just noticed that!

WHERE THE HECK IS MY SOMA BRINGER? They’d better not be thinking of passing on that one.

I forgot about Soma Bringer! Man I want it localized too.

I’ve asked Nintendo about Soma Bringer so many times at so many places. Half the people I talked to weren’t aware it even existed. At this point in the game I wouldn’t count on getting it. Magical Starsign, a new RPG franchise for us, didn’t do so well here and it doesn’t seem like they’re going to release ASH over here even though it was rated by the ESRB.

        Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Goddamn it. Why would you not bring over one of the most complex, best RPGs on the DS? Damn it. I wonder if they’d let someone else pick it up.

I hope it comes to the US, it’s one of the few games from them I’m excited for. Seeing Kirby on the list makes me happy though. I just hope it isn’t vaporware again. Kirby deserves better treatment. T_T

I really hope it comes to the US. This is my most anticipated Wii game right now.
