Dokapon Journeying To A DS Near You

Dokapon Journeying To A DS Near You In April Atlus will bring us Dokapon Journey, a portable follow up to last year’s Dokapon Kingdom. Dokapon Journey supports wireless play and single card download play to ease linking up with others. And Dokapon Journey is a game you want to play with others. Spinning wheels and capturing cities against the ruthless computer just isn’t as much fun.

New to the Dokapon series are a series of touch screen mini-games. In one game you spin a wheel on an exercise bike and in another you scratch off a lottery ticket.

Dokapon Journey is scheduled to come out on April 14 – right on the mark with the Amazon leak said it would. Maybe that list wasn’t so far off…

Looks cool. But honestly, I found Dokapon Kingdom to be most fun when co-operating with friends while messing with the computer players. Competitively, the whole experience is just frustrating.

  • CriticalFury

wow this is pretty sweet. like EvilAkito said the game is better with people to play. the computer in dokopan kingdom was vicious at times. i always liked how you could name your opponent something funny.

Another week, another Atlus game announced.

Akito… this is how I *used* to play this game too, but you can only take it so far. It's really not meant for coop, so I'll pass on the DS version.

It's like someone at Atlus is reading my mind. :) Had a great time with the Wii title, but it always bothered us that every player could see exactly what everyone is doing. Now on DS everyone has their own screen(s), problem solved.
