Minna de Spelunker Ready To Frustrate PS3 Owners Soon

image What’s Irem up to these days? Working on Disaster Report 3 and a remake of Spelunker for the PlayStation 3. Minna de Spelunker was originally slated to come out this winter and while we still have some cold weeks ahead it hasn’t percolated on any PlayStation Network updates for good reason.

The notoriously difficult game won’t be ready until March. I played a bit of Minna de Spelunker and it’s simply Spleunker with a fresh coat of paint. Missing little jumps still kill you and if you need an extra dose of nostalgia you can play the game in retro mode with blocky graphics. The main new feature is a multiplayer mode where you can die from falling off ladders with your friends.

I hope Irem makes enough money from this to actually fund Steambot Chronicles 2 which isn’t even mentioned on their PlayStation 3 products page.
