Truth be told…I wasn't the biggest fan of the original Persona game. P2…much, MUUUUCH better.

Here's some crossed fingers towards them keeping on the port-train, and work on IS and EP next.

Maybe the little kids who only played persona 3 might not like it, but any of us who've played persona 2 and persona 1 on the psx will. I'm also pretty sure true SMT fans, doesn't matter they got into SMT in the snes, psx or ps2 era will enjoy this game. First person dungeon exploration and demon talking is the true SMT experience.

BTW has anyone notice that japanese developers seem to be moving backwards. Either releasing tons of ports/remakes of old games or making new games using old school game mechanics. It's like they're trying to persuade many of us old gamers back into the hobby and at the same time reintroduce the younger generation is old school gaming.

it was a good game, very dungeon crawly and all, but good. problem is how it aged, and of course the US version was sucky doe to localization alone (this said I hope they rewrite pretty much all the text in the game to improve how it ties to other games and all, even in the japanese version). And of course, Persona 2 could have been done today (it's very actual, still), which makes it kinda sad that they left the original sprites and didn't rework the scenarios to match that.

I doubt it, I remember those corridors from the ps1 version, third person is not an option, but it would be an option to rework it to be like Persona 2… which they didn't, so…

Hopefully they'll add in a 3rd person view then it'll basically be more like P2, but since I presume it was only designed for 1st person it doesn't seem overly appealing if not for those nice cutscenes.
