Atlus Teasing... An Online Game?

Atlus blasted out a “confidential” announcement about a product reveal on February 23, which is a day before The Legacy of Ys: Books I & II come out. The only clue is something about a “shattered continent” and a link to the Atlus Online sign up page.

Could this be the first Atlus Online game or is this announcement related to a previous Atlus leak? Wouldn’t it be funny if this was Ys: Online? This is a long shot guess, but Ys Online is getting an English version in Europe.

One thing we’re sure about is the announcement doesn’t have anything to do with the soundtrack CD bundled with the Dark Spire. Atlus officially announced that yesterday.

i would much rather have an atlus online store that similar to steam or itunes. because their games become rare in a matter of weeks. (that's way too fast) I CAN'T FIND PERSON 4!!!! IT'S GONE ALREADY!!!!!!

  • Simon

What are you trying to do?

  • wario4ever

i'm not trying to do anything. i can't find the game in stores. it's f-in sold out. and, i hate ordering games online. so amazon can blow it's nose.

Isn't this something to do with that Atlus Online website thing that they announced recently? Maybe they're announcing the date when the website goes live?

It would be a pretty big jump for them to get into online PC gaming. They'd need a whole new division, basically. Probably just a fancier version of their newsletter…

I came across this Atlus-Online thing a week ago. They mention a little more about it on their forums.
It seems now *it is* about games, but before I thought it was more of an interaction board where “you, the people(!)” take control, which worries me after looking at their board when it does have moderation.

One thing that a lot of people have missed in this recent economic down turn is the fact that in-game money for all of the massive mutliplayer online role playing games has not been effected. I guess it just shows how strong and stable the computer game industry really is.
