So, How’s Dragon Quest VI DS Coming Along?

By Spencer . February 11, 2009 . 5:34pm

image Dragon Quest IX has the spotlight, but what’s going on with Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie? Good question.

We had a chat with Christopher Kennedy, Translation Director of Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride and asked him how Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie was progressing. Kennedy responded, “Things are moving along just fine. This installment is one of our favorites, and we cannot wait to share it with the world.”

This question was squeezed in at the end of an interview where Kennedy discussed his work on Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride which we’ll be posting later this week.

I’m looking forward to this. It’s the only one in the main series I’ve never played. I was just wondering yesterday about how it was coming along, so thanks for reading my mind and posting this Spencer.

i hope you asked him why they didn’t put party chat in DQIV.

Please address the dialects… I want to know if S-E is keeping them or not. Hopefully not.

    • It’s a little late to submit questions since the interview is done, but I asked about this one.

Sounds good. Hopefully with the DQIX delay this bean we get DQVI in the interim (which probably means western release at the end of the year).

I can’t wait to read the interview.

    So. Wait.

Does that mean they’re already working on it? It’s not even out in Japan yet! Maybe a simultaneous release?
