Introducing Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days

Introducing Disgaea 2: Dark Hero DaysNIS America told us they wouldn’t disappoint when it came to releasing Disgaea 2 Portable domestically. We’ll get to know the PSP game better under the name Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days when it comes out here.

The news isn’t 100% official yet, but since the ESRB leaked the name and since Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories already came out on the PlayStation 2 all signs are pointing to a North American release in the near future.

While this is a port Nippon Ichi added a number of features to Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. Let’s take a look at them.

A brand new story line starring Axel, the Dark Hero, and his friends like the director.

A new villager runs a music shop where you can collect songs. Axel and Adell can view the total time played, maximum damage, and other stats at the record shop. The color change shop where you can purchase alternate colors for your generic troops is hidden in the item world.

You can also unlock the female samurai class, but you need to have data from Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness to do it.

Meh. Makai Kingdom on PSP please.

In all honesty I'm surprised they did Phantom Brave on the Wii when they're doing all these others on the PSP, that woulda made more sense I reckon.

Hopefully NIS America can whack this out over here at some point in the near future.

I wonder what the chances are of this coming out on DS. I'd get it for PS2, but I had never played Disgaea before I got to try it on DS, so I'm used to having a portable version of it.

Anyone know how well/badly the DS version did?
