Crimson Gem Saga Coming In May With A New Localization

By Spencer . February 23, 2009 . 9:55am

Atlus confirmed they will publish Korean developed Crimson Gem Saga (aka Garnet Chronicle in Japan and Astonishia Story 2 in Korea) on May 26. Huh, didn’t an English version of Crimson Gem Saga already came out in Asia months ago? Oh yeah, one did!

We asked Atlus about the existing Asian version and were informed their elves are diligently retranslating Crimson Gem Saga for North America. Also, the domestic release will only cost $29.99, low for a PSP game and a cut off the current import price.

Curious about the English translation approved by SK Telecom? Then check out the intro and see how it stands.

Wow. Did SK Telecom hire Ubisoft to do translate that intro?

“Woot, it’s so late!” needs to become some kind of recurring internet joke.

  • For some reason, “calm your horses” just didn’t compute right in my head. I know of hold your horses, calm yourself, cool your jets… but… not calm your horses. It makes sense, but it’s… an unusual/uncommon choice. Then again, I am insane.

Well, let’s hope that Atlus does a great job localizing this. Hopfully we’ll get US and/or Japanese voice acting, and an opening with its song.

  • Please tell me they will fix the huge loading issues? It’s very annoying on the Asia version.

How bad is the loading time? Oh and I love that phrase “calm your horses” I plan to use that in my everyday conversations LOL

    • Gotcha. I’ll see if we can find out more about the loading times for the US
