I thought this is a very good deal too, but the dull red …? That'd ruin anyone's gaming/TV setup..

Yeah, that's what I have, a Jpn system that plays all Jpn games and almost all US games that are region free. But the downside is if something happens to your Jpn system and you're in the US, you'd probably be in a pickle as Microsoft most likely won't help you w/ products from another region. Fortunately my system's been running over 2 years w/o a hitch (knock on wood).

Despite that , I went ahead and bought a 2nd US arcade bundle several months ago since Dell had a 15% off discount, just to play those handful of RPGs that are region locked, like Operation Darkness and Infinite Undiscovery. I actually have the Jpn version for both and I know they're not the greatest games, but I just wanted to add US ver. to my library. And don't need to worry about region lock once and for all.

Man, I was hoping this would be an unfounded rumor. I'd love a red 360, but no point in buying a US model when a JP model can play all the region-locked JP-only games and most, if not all of the US ones I care about.

Wow whoever thought the Halo 360 was ugly didnt see that one…

Well why red when it comes to Resident Evil? I wouldve made an Re5 Layout not a plain red 360…
You know? A TriCell 360 or a UMBRELLA 360 i dunno something that looks better than this ugly red!? xD

I like my 360 white.

Crap…I just bought a 360 Elite not even three weeks ago for Star Ocean 4. I'd rather have the red one if only for the fact that it's a new (limited) color for the console.
