Back in October we discovered Folklore developer Game Republic was branching out to downloadable board games starting with a PlayStation 3 version of Catan. Catan was originally announced for a worldwide release over PlayStation Network, but only Japan got it at the end of last year.

Today, an English version crept onto the PlayStation Store in Hong Kong. Perhaps, Catan will be part of this week’s PlayStation Store update? By now Catan feels worn out since it’s been on Xbox Live Arcade for almost two years. I’m more curious to see what becomes of Game Republic’s original board games like Shadow Hunters which is supposed to come out sometime this month.
