Sands Of Destruction Slides Into Summer

By Spencer . March 16, 2009 . 9:43am

image Haven’t heard too much about Sands of Destruction from Sega in the wake of Madworld, but they are localizing it as we revealed way back at Tokyo Game Show. To remind us Sands of Destruction is coming a teaser trailer introducing the cast was posted a few days ago.

Doing further checking it looks like Sands of Destruction has been bumped up from a fall release to sometime in the summer. That’s the word on Sega’s official page so we’ll stick with that and keep our fingers crossed Sands of Destruction will be on our shores sooner than later. The story sounds intriguing albeit morbid. I still remember the analogy Ryoei Mikage told me about the theme. The way ferals round up and rule humans is similar to how humans round and rule animals.

Neat. Looks like it hearkens back to the days of PSOne rpgs. Having Xenogears and Chrono Cross alumni, Masato Kato and Yasunori Mitsuda, on the development team is a plus, too.

I’ll buy this at a high price

The character/costume designs are cute! I wonder what it will look like in terms of actual DS gameplay though.

  • Volcynika

Wonder how long it’ll be until they tell us if they made any significant changes to the JP version as far as difficulty and such.

  • Maybe they’re fast tracking this so they can shift some resources on 7th Dragon’s localization!!!

  • Mazen

    great news.

I’m also warming up to the new title as well.
