Hero For 30sec Lasts Longer Than 30 seconds

By Spencer . March 23, 2009 . 11:23am

Marvelous released a new trailer for Yuusha 30 (Hero for 30sec, internationally) showing off the game’s four different modes. At one point the timer is about to run out in Hero mode, but the Hero restores the clock with an item. Even though time is always running out players have a way to extend the clock.

Hero mode plays like an RPG. Princess mode is a shooter. What are Devil King mode and Knight mode like? Watch the trailer to find out.

The commercial for this cracked me up with the hero giving the interview. Running off before time runs out. It reminds me how MegaSilver in Megaranger had to worry about how he would de-henshin after 2:30 and plan his attacks accordingly. Of course that was done in a much more serious manner but this could be pretty funny.

In fact, if you played the DEMO, you could see your timer could be refilled at the statue you see in the left part of the town.

  • Wow, I REALLY want this game right now. Any release-dates?

  • Talk about an incredible trailer. Was the introduction bit fansubbed or did Marvelous throw that in on their own? The soundtrack is fantastic. First time I see credits in a trailer… and they include John Avon (of Magic: The Gathering fame) as a “Background Concept Guest”.

    • Marvelous did that directly. I think this is one of the cases where they’re trying to make Yuusha 30 coverage accessible even though it’s been barely announced for a release overseas.

Did not know about the John Avon bit cool stuff :)

I tried the demo and instantly fell in love w/ it (unlike Yuusha no kuse ni Namaiki da the puzzle game). I thought they were planning to release the demo for the other modes in the upcoming months like the trailer stated, but I don’t see anything on PSN yet other than Hero mode. Still I’m going to get this game. This and Dragonball Kai are my most anticipated games at the moment. Almost feel guilty for not having touched my PSP for so long since Crisis Core.

Yeah daizyujin , the TV spot w/ the actor was really funny. The Hero was asking the host what time it is and he was like the world is about to end in 12 secs, lol.
