mmnAdventure Island won’t be the only Hudson series getting a new game this year. Military Madness last appeared with a new console game over ten years ago. This summer Hudson will release a new entry in the series on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and WiiWare. Details about how the versions will differ, if at all were not detailed.

Sabine Duvall, Vice President of Product and Development, says, “The new Military Madness will give fans of the original a modern version of this classic strategy game, while gamers new to the series will get to enjoy being armchair generals for the first time.” Modernized features in this Military Madness game include new units like a commander, 3D graphics, and online co-op and a versus mode for up to four players. Detailed stats will be provided so you can size up your opponent before heading to battle.

  • Er, Military Madness has been released a lot more recently than that on home consoles – it was one of the first TG-16 games on the Virtual Console.

  • MadMirko

3D graphics? That better be for the combat sequences only.

Multiplatfom makes me suspect this was outsourced to a western team. I’m hoping it’s not Backbone again. :/

  • man, they’d better not fuck it up.
