Katamari Damacy Rolling Onto PS3 In Full HD

By Spencer . March 24, 2009 . 8:54pm

Later this year PlayStation 3 owners will gather clumps of junk in Katamari Damacy Tribute. As a series first, Katamari Damacy Tribute will be in full HD with 1080p resolution. The text says this Katamari game will have a new visual presentation, but the screenshots look like plain old Katamari.

The song list is also interesting since many of the tracks like Katamari on the Funk, Everlasting Love, and the Prince on the Moon are remixed songs from previous Katamari games. Could Katamari Damacy Tribute be a remix of past Katamari games?

I wonder how they can “expand” on what they already added from the sequel.
The “new visual presentation” sounds interesting. Hopefully it’s not a spin word for HD.

    • Honestly, it might be a buzz phrase. Hard to tell with the screenshots. It looks like this supports PlayStation Network too for something unknown.

Well I will always keep buying them how many time they remake them.

    • I might actually buy a remake if it has a story linking all of the games together. The simple tale in the first game was memorable as it was wacky. In Beautiful Katamari there isn’t even a reason why you’re rolling up planets the set up is: go roll stuff. Some kind of zany and hilarious plot that sticks all of the games together could make a remake awesome.

        I totally agree.

  • Me and my Katamari had music from past games too but that’s an original title.

I’m interested because i love this series. :D I don’t care if it’s more the same, it’s one of those series that doesn’t grow old for me.

  • You see, this game should totally use the sixaxis motion. It works for this type of game.
