A Peek At Demon Negotiation In Devil Summoner 2

A Peek At Demon Negotiation In Devil Summoner 2Button mashing demon catching is out. Demon negotiation back in style. Like the core Shin Megami Tensei series you need a silver tongue to get demons to join you in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon.

During battles you can speak with demons by selecting the negotiate command. Tell them what your opponents want to hear and they may jump in one of your vials or offer an item. While you’re in the heat of battle demons may interrupt combat with requests of their own like begging for mercy. Don’t drop your guard too quickly. Even if a demon pleads for you to spare its life it could be a trap.

Atlus explains combat in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon has been enhanced by giving Raidou a dodge roll for quick escapes, two demons, and many more demon types.

I know I always ask this a LOT (sorry) but are there any news on Square Enix picking this up for Europe? SMT games generally get favorablte reviews and decent sales, especially since Persona 3 and now 4, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea.

More demon types huh. How many more demons are there compared to the first?

Other than that, it looks like a winner. The first Raidou game was so much fun.

The battle system from the first game was a bit lack luster. Hopefully Atlus has improved it the second time around.

This looks pretty sweet. I hope DoubleJump puts out a guide for it, but it doesn’t look likely unless it’s a digital guide (which basically means no guide) -.-
