Watch The Persona PSP Opening Movie Right Now

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona will get a domestic release later this year, but you don’t have to wait to see the opening movie. It’s right here with a theme song done by (love it or hate it) Shoji Meguro.

Now for a trip down memory lane. Here’s the opening from Revelations: Persona, the PsOne version Atlus released in 1996. Even though it’s more or less the same game Persona feels like an entirely different game after a dose of pop music. Revelations: Persona looks more like classic Shin Megami Tensei.

Will there be an OST available?

Pretty good new opening. I might actually have to buy this again after all. I didn’t like it too much back when it first came out, but my tastes have changed a bit.

I’m a big fan of Meguro. He does great battle themes. Except Mass Destruction, but everyone has an off day.

  • I never really liked the original Persona game, so I’m not really too upset about any of the changes made. Maybe I’ll even enjoy playing it this time around.

I do however see why people are a tad annoyed at the changes. I certainly wouldn’t be pleased if Meguro redid the Persona 2 OST to sound like P3.

  • It’s SO GOOD!!!!

The original is neat in its own way, but I never really experienced classic Shin Megami Tensai.
I came into Shin Megami Tensai/Persona with P3, so I love Shoji Meguro.

Persona 3 was my first Persona, and I must say, the fantastic music is a large part of what drew me in.
I have always loved that famous butterfly quote though, so hopefully they put that in the remake somewhere.

Wow, the new opening video is awesome! I wonder if it will be in engrish like for the US release like P3 and P4.

  • Nekobo

Another snazzy Persona intro. At least this one doesn’t have Engrish lyrics, haha.

I couldn’t get into the original Persona, but I’ll give this one a shot if the interface is as improved as reported.

It looks to just use the P2 battle system, which wasn’t bad at all.

What with, by the sounds of it at least, Atlus not changing it when they bring it over here, then I reckon it’ll be worth it.

I reckon the overall game with have the same feel to it, just a snazzier opening will grab more peoples attention.
