Watch Some Square Enix Xbox Live Arcade Trailers

One of these Xbox Live Arcade games has players shoot and reflect lasers at rectangular prisms rendering them into a bloody mess. Atypical from your usual Square Enix game, but that is exactly what makes the minimalist Project Cube eyecatching.

While Square Enix continues to stick with bread and butter franchises for big budget games they are experimenting with organic octopus aliens, shmups, and happy cubes on Xbox Live Arcade.

0 Day Attack on Earth

Yosumin Live

Project Cube (temporary name)

Which of the three games are you most interested in?

For me it was a tough call, but I’m going with 0 Day Attack on Earth since I played Yosumin before. Yosumin Live may not have enough explosions to capture mass media attention, but don’t gloss it over. If Yosumin DS is any indicator the Xbox Live Arcade version will be very addictive.

0 Day Attack on Earth looks fantastic! Very fresh take on the genre.

Project Cube doesn’t really make sense to me atm but I like the visuals.

I’m not sure about 0 Day Attack on Earth. It could be great, but there are already so many dual stick shooters on XBLA. Project Cube at least has unique visuals. I was seriously addicted to the Flash version of Yosumin, so I will probably get that one at least.
